1. Who We Are and Scope
WHAT'S ON THE STAR, INC., a Delaware corporation, operates WHAT'S ON THE STAR? and WOTS (together, "WOTS," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy applies to the WOTS iOS app, whatsonthestar.com, WOTS accounts, artist outfit pages, product and brand pages, editorial content, shopping links, subscriptions, saved content, push notifications, customer support, and AI Fit Pics.
The current canonical App Store privacy URL remains /setting/privacy-policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account and profile information
We may collect your username, email address, name, profile information, shop preference, account identifiers, account creation and update timestamps, wishlist items, liked outfits, saved content, and customer-support communications.
Authentication information
Depending on the platform and login options available to you, WOTS may support Sign in with Apple, Google, and Facebook login. We receive provider identifiers and profile data such as email, name, and, when supplied by the provider, gender. The WOTS iOS app supports Sign in with Apple.
Device, usage, and diagnostic information
We may collect device identifiers, push-notification tokens, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP address, browser or device type, operating system, pages or screens viewed, searches, clicks, saves, likes, wishlist activity, outfit and product interactions, redirect and affiliate-link interactions, timestamps, referrers, and error, crash, log, and diagnostic information.
Analytics, ads, cookies, and similar technologies
The website uses Google Tag Manager and Google AdSense code. WOTS may also use analytics events in the app and website to understand actions such as opening screens, viewing outfits, clicking items, clicking shopping links, saving results, and subscription funnel activity. The website uses cookies and similar technologies for basic site operation, preferences, analytics, advertising, and affiliate measurement.
Shopping and affiliate data
When you click shopping links, we may process the item, merchant, redirect URL, referrer, device type, account identifier if logged in, and affiliate tracking parameters. The current backend uses Skimlinks/Skimresources links and Commission Junction-style tracking for selected domains.
Subscriptions
For paid iOS subscriptions, WOTS may receive information from Apple such as subscription status, transaction identifiers, product ID, renewal status, expiration status, purchase history, and related entitlement information. We do not receive your full Apple payment card details from Apple.
3. AI Fit Pics Information
When you use AI Fit Pics, WOTS may process your uploaded photo, which may show your face, body, clothing, and surroundings; height, selected body type, shopping preference, fit style, and other user-supplied fit information; the selected artist outfit or reference outfit; prompts and processing instructions; generation identifiers, status, timestamps, and error logs; generated AI images; and saved AI results.
WOTS uses Google AI to help create AI Fit Pics. AI Fit Pics processing may occur on WOTS servers and with external AI or cloud providers, including Google AI, to generate, moderate, troubleshoot, and deliver the requested result.
If WOTS stores uploaded source photos, generated images, failed generations, prompts, generation identifiers, or logs, we use them to provide the feature, troubleshoot failures, prevent abuse, support subscriptions, maintain saved results, and respond to user requests as described in this Privacy Policy. Google AI's processing of inputs and outputs may be governed by Google's applicable AI, cloud, and data-processing terms and by WOTS's provider configuration.
WOTS does not use AI Fit Pics photos for facial identification or biometric authentication. AI Fit Pics is designed to create a synthetic outfit image, not to identify who you are.
4. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the app, website, and accounts.
- Create AI Fit Pics, display generation status, save generated results, and support sharing.
- Authenticate users and manage profile, wishlist, liked, saved, notification, and preference features.
- Manage subscriptions, purchases, entitlements, restores, refunds, billing support, and fraud prevention.
- Send push notifications, including saved-item, sale, account, and generation-ready notifications.
- Measure product performance, analytics events, search, browsing, and affiliate-link performance.
- Provide customer support, privacy support, legal support, and rights-request handling.
- Protect WOTS, users, artists, brands, merchants, rights holders, and the public from fraud, abuse, and unsafe conduct.
- Comply with legal obligations, accounting duties, law-enforcement requests, disputes, and enforcement of our terms.
6. International Transfers, Security, and Retention
WOTS is operated from the United States and may process information in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection rules different from where you live.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we process. No internet, cloud, storage, AI, or mobile system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
We retain information for as long as needed to provide WOTS, operate accounts and subscriptions, provide AI Fit Pics, support users, comply with law, keep business records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our terms. We may retain certain records after deletion requests when needed for legal compliance, accounting, fraud prevention, safety, security, backups, rights complaints, disputes, or enforcement.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent, and information about how we process personal information. You may submit requests at support@whatsonthestar.com.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we process personal information based on legal bases such as contract performance, legitimate interests, consent where required, and legal obligations. If you are a California resident, you may have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of certain sharing or selling, limit use of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. WOTS should confirm whether its affiliate, advertising, analytics, or AI processing may involve California "sale," "sharing," or sensitive-personal-information concepts depending on the final implementation and your location.
8. Account Deletion and Subscriptions
You can initiate account deletion in the WOTS iOS app by going to Account, then Settings, then Delete Account. You may also contact support@whatsonthestar.com for help with privacy or account requests.
Deleting a WOTS account may delete or de-identify account profile data and account-linked content where required, but WOTS may retain information as needed for legal compliance, fraud prevention, accounting, security, rights complaints, backups, disputes, subscription records, or other legitimate purposes.
Deleting your WOTS account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. You must manage or cancel iOS subscriptions through your Apple account settings, the App Store subscription management interface, or another Apple-provided cancellation flow.
9. Children's Privacy
WOTS is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. AI Fit Pics may involve photos of faces and bodies; users must not upload photos of minors unless they have valid parental or guardian authority and the use is lawful. WOTS may restrict AI Fit Pics access by age, account status, region, safety rules, or platform requirements.
